Due to the COVID 19 pandemic we have found ourselves less able and less willingly to travel abroad. As a result we have focused our efforts on getting around to doing the things more locally to us here in the UK. Staycations have boomed for many reasons for many people but moving forward I feel that we will continue to look to mix up our holidays with mini staycations in between. This could be visiting a city like Bath, Edinburgh, London or it could be hiking the numerous, trails, forests and summits across the country.

in a storm or knee deep in mud and wished we had a pair of waterproof trousers or had on a pair of more suitable shoes.
Planning and preparation is a fine balance. Having freedom for things to change and spontaneity some would say is key to having a unique trip. However, knowing enough to ensure you have
a good base of equipment is crucial to a trip being a good and safe trip. There's nothing worse than having to turn back or waste time while you should be out enjoying yourself because
you need to shop for a missing piece of equipment or clothing.
